Institutional Research and Decision Support. IRDS provides management information and analysis in support of decision-making by the Stanford community

Enterprise Risk Management.  ERM Office coordinates the University’s enterprise risk management efforts. It provides a framework and processes for the identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring of risks to the achievement of the University’s mission and goals.  

University Privacy Office. The University Privacy Office is committed to working with parties across the Stanford community to protect the integrity of data collected, created, transmitted, released and stored by Stanford affiliates and entities.   In support of our effort to protect data, we work with stakeholders throughout the Stanford community to provide training, guidance and consultation in furtherance of the University's mission, and applicable privacy laws and regulations.

University-Wide Policy Documents. Resource that contains links to important University policies.  Remember to also consult your individual school or department which may maintain additional policies.  These school or department level policies may supplement but do not override applicable University-wide policies.

Collibra Blog.  Collibra is the data governance tool that Stanford uses for our Data Governance Center (DGC).  The blog contains useful information on data governance, stewardship and tips and tricks for using the DGC

The Data Administration Newsletter. TDAN publication focused on sharing data management approaches, best practices, solutions and technologies to an avid reader-base of managers, practitioners and consultants. 

Data Governance Professional Organization. The DGPOSM is a non-profit, vendor neutral, association of business, IT and data professionals dedicated to advancing the discipline of data governance.

Dataversity.  Dataversity is a digital educational and publishing resource for business and Information Technology (IT) professionals on the uses and management of data

Higher Education Data Warehousing Forum. The HEDW Forum is a group of colleagues working at colleges and universities that includes technical developers and administrators of data access and reporting systems, data custodians, institutional researchers, and consumers of data representing a variety of internal university audiences.
